Introduction: The Health & Healing Module
Assignment 7 is the health and healing module of the Astro-Vastu system. While most people think of health as a single domain, Vedic astrology recognises that wellbeing is governed by five distinct birth chart boxes, each addressing a different aspect of the body, mind, and energy field. Vastu Guruji RS teaches that by activating these boxes correctly through precise environmental placements, you can transform your home into a living, breathing healing sanctuary — one that consistently supports your body's natural capacity for recovery and resilience.
The five health boxes are: Box 5 (solutions, healing, true happiness and creativity), Box 6 (resistance to disease, enemies and opposing forces), Box 8 (relief from mysterious and incomprehensible pain, protection from accidents), Box 11 (overcoming weaknesses and addictions, fulfilment and friendship), and Box 12 (managing hospital expenses, addictions, foreign travel safety, and general loss). Each box requires its own activation strategy — and together, when all five are enabled, they create a holistic health field around the occupants of the space.
The Five Health Boxes at a Glance
Box 5 — Solutions, Healing & True Happiness
Box 5 is one of the most profound health boxes in the system. It governs the capacity to find the right solutions, experience genuine healing, and sustain true happiness. When enabled, it also awakens creative potential and allows you to pursue and enjoy hobbies that feed the soul rather than merely distract it.
Questions this assignment answers:
- a) How to get right solutions and healing through Astro-Vastu remedies?
- b) How to feel genuinely happy and well in daily life?
- c) How to awaken creativity and fulfill meaningful hobbies?
Box 11 — Overcoming Weaknesses & Addictions
Box 11 governs the capacity to overcome what holds you back — personal weaknesses, habitual patterns, and addictions that drain vitality. When correctly activated, it also attracts genuine, lasting friendships and creates a profound sense of inner fulfilment.
Questions this assignment answers:
- a) How to quickly overcome weaknesses and addictions?
- b) How to feel complete and fulfilled in life?
- c) How to earn true friendship in life?
Box 6 — Disease Resistance & Overcoming Opposition
Box 6 is the battlefield box of the horoscope — governing opposition, enemies, disease, and duty. When this box is strong and correctly activated, the body's immune system and its social resilience both improve. You become more capable of performing your duties without being derailed by illness or opposition.
Questions this assignment answers:
- a) How to overcome opposing forces that obstruct your duties?
- b) How to overcome diseases and other forms of opposition in life?
Box 8 — Mysterious Pain & Accident Protection
Box 8 governs the hidden, the incomprehensible, and the transformative aspects of existence — including undiagnosed pain, sudden accidents, and difficult situations that arrive without warning. Activating this box creates a protective, cleansing energy field that supports the body's deepest healing processes.
Questions this assignment answers:
- a) How to get relief from incomprehensible and mysterious pains through Astro-Vastu remedies?
- b) How to stay protected from accidents and suddenly occurring difficult situations?
Box 12 — Addictions, Expenses & Foreign Travel Safety
Box 12 governs loss, expenditure, sleep, foreign travel, hospitals, and addictions. When correctly managed through Astro-Vastu, the expenses don't become draining, foreign travel becomes safe and productive, and the pull of addictive patterns weakens as the zone's energy is channelled constructively.
Questions this assignment answers:
- a) How to deal with weaknesses, addictions and hospital-related expenses?
- b) How to make foreign travels safe and secure?
The 4 Rules to Enable Any Health Box
The same four universal rules from Assignment 5 apply here. Each health box is enabled using this identical four-layer method — the only variable is the specific planets, signs, zones, and objects that come from your personal horoscope.
Rule 1 — Place the Box Activity in the Vastu Zone of the Cusp Sign
Identify the cusp sign of the health box from your birth chart. The primary activity of that box must be physically performed in the Vastu zone corresponding to that sign. For example, Box 5's Cancer cusp maps to NNE — so activities related to healing, hobbies, and creative solutions should happen in the NNE part of the home.
Rule 2 — Place Objects of Occupant Planets in the Cusp Sign Zone
From Assignment 2, identify all planets sitting inside the health box. Each occupant planet carries characteristic objects that must be placed in the Vastu zone of the box's cusp sign. This physically anchors the planet's energy in the correct directional zone and activates the health themes of the box.
Rule 3 — Place Hit Objects on the Box
From Assignment 3, identify all planetary hits directed at the occupant planets and sign lords of the health box. Each hit at a specific angle adds a sub-object to the zone. These hit-generated objects fine-tune the planetary field and give the box its precision healing potency.
Rule 4 — Place Mixed-Trait Objects from Hitting Planet Traits
From Assignment 4, identify the mixed-trait objects produced by each hit — the hitting planet donates its colour, shape, material, and character to the objects of the planet it hits. These are the most personalised and powerful remedy items for each health box. Place them in the zones indicated by the box's cusp sign.
Ra/Ke Rules for Health Box Enabling
- If the health box cusp sign is owned by Rahu or Ketu: Apply the standard Rahu/Ketu zone rules. In most Vedic systems Ra and Ke do not own signs, but where they do, apply accordingly. The zone still maps to the sign's direction.
- If Rahu or Ketu occupies a health box: Rahu objects (attention-grabbing, vivid, prominent) must be placed as the most visible item in the zone. Ketu objects (hidden, covered, concealed) must be placed out of sight in that zone — underground, behind covers, or in closed compartments.
- If the cusp sign lord hits Rahu or Ketu: The hitting planet's traits get added to both Ra/Ke objects AND to objects of other planets hitting Ra/Ke in the same box, creating a web of mixed-trait health remedy objects all converging on the same zone.
- Always honour Ra/Ke's fundamental nature: The vividness rule (Ra objects are always the most attention-grabbing object in the space) and the hidden rule (Ke objects are always concealed or covered) must never be violated — this is non-negotiable across all health boxes.
Box 5: Solutions, Healing & Happiness
In RS's horoscope, Box 5 has Cancer (Kark) on its cusp, which maps to the NNE zone. The sign lord of Cancer is the Moon (Chandra). No planet occupies Box 5 in RS's example chart — meaning the box is enabled entirely through the cusp sign zone activity, the Moon's sign-lord objects, and the hit sub-objects on the Cancer cusp.
Box 5 Cusp Signs — Placing Activities in Correct Zones
Ca Cusp i — Cancer/Kark (NNE) — Healing, Hobbies & Creative Solutions Zone
- Zone:
- NNE (Cancer direction)
- Activity to Place:
- Create a dedicated place for solutions, hobbies, and entertainment in the NNE zone of the home
- Effect:
- Performing healing activities, creative hobbies, and entertainment in the NNE zone directly channels Box 5's Cancer energy — supporting emotional nourishment, happiness, and genuine healing through joyful creative engagement.
Box 5 Sign Lords — Objects of the Moon
Mo Sign Lord i — Moon/Chandra — Silver Dolphin & Emotional Nourishment Objects
- Planet:
- Moon (Mo) — sign lord of Cancer (Box 5 cusp sign)
- Core Objects:
- Silver objects, Water-related items, Curved/crescent shapes, White items, Nourishing objects, Dolphin (as a Moon creature — fluid, intelligent, nurturing)
- Placement:
- NE zone (based on hit remedy direction — see below)
The Moon as sign lord of Cancer (Box 5's cusp sign) must have its core objects placed in the zone corresponding to its own position in RS's chart. The following hit on the Moon's position determines the specific mixed-trait remedy object.
Box 5 Occupants
Box 11: Overcoming Weaknesses & Addictions
In RS's horoscope, Box 11 has Capricorn/Makar on its cusp, which maps to the South zone (S3, S6). Due to a 4° orb, Sagittarius is also activated, adding the NE zone to valid placement areas. The sign lord of Capricorn is Saturn (Shani). No planet occupies Box 11 — enabling comes through Saturn's sign-lord objects and their hit sub-remedies.
Box 11 Cusp Signs — Placing Activities in Correct Zones
Ma Cusp i — Capricorn/Makar (South, S3, S6 ; 4° Orb → NE) — Friends & Social Gathering Zone
- Primary Zone:
- South (S3, S6) — Capricorn direction
- Secondary Zone:
- NE — Sagittarius direction (4° orb activation)
- Activity to Place:
- Create a dedicated place for friends, social gatherings, and collective celebration → NE zone (via 4° orb to Sagittarius, the zone of good fortune and higher connections)
- Effect:
- Establishing a social and friendship gathering space in the NE zone activates Box 11's capacity for earning true, lasting friendships and overcoming the isolation that accompanies weakness and addiction.
The 4° orb to Sagittarius is particularly meaningful for Box 11: Sagittarius governs good fortune, higher learning, and expansion — qualities that naturally support the process of overcoming limitation and weakness. The NE friendship gathering space creates a tangible environmental anchor for Box 11's theme of fulfilment through connection.
Box 11 Sign Lords — Objects of Saturn
Sa Sign Lord i — Saturn/Shani — Old Coins & Big Brass Pot
- Planet:
- Saturn (Sa) — sign lord of Capricorn (Box 11 cusp sign)
- Core Objects:
- Old objects, Iron/dark metal items, Aged articles, Items of permanence and endurance, Objects that have stood the test of time
- Placement Zone:
- NW (Taurus zone, Box 2 cusp — Saturn's own position zone in RS's chart)
Box 11 Occupants
Box 6: Disease Resistance & Overcoming Opposition
In RS's horoscope, Box 6 has Leo/Singh on its cusp, which maps to the ENE zone. The sign lord of Leo is the Sun (Surya). No planet occupies Box 6 — enabling comes through the cusp zone activity and the Sun's sign-lord objects. Box 6 is about performing service, overcoming those who oppose your duties, and building immunity to the forces that erode your health and purpose.
Box 6 Cusp Signs — Placing Activities in Correct Zones
Le Cusp i — Leo/Singh (ENE) — Service & Prominent Person Engagement Zone
- Zone:
- ENE (Leo direction)
- Activity to Place:
- Create a space to serve and engage with prominent, authoritative people → ENE
- Effect:
- Leo governs kings, authorities, and those in command. Placing service-oriented activity in the ENE zone — whether a reception area, a workspace for handling important clients, or a space for engaging authority figures — activates Box 6's disease-fighting and opposition-overcoming energy through the Sun's regal, authority-commanding nature.
The ENE zone in RS's home is ideally suited for any activity that involves serving others with excellence, meeting with authority figures, or fulfilling professional duties with precision and discipline. When this zone is well-arranged and purposeful, Box 6's protective, immune-system-supporting energy is at its peak.
Box 6 Sign Lords — Objects of the Sun
Su Sign Lord i — Sun/Surya — Sage Patanjali Statue
- Planet:
- Sun (Su) — sign lord of Leo (Box 6 cusp sign)
- Sign.Box:
- Aquarius (Aq) · Box 12 (Sun's actual position in RS's chart)
- Core Objects:
- Authority figures, Healing symbols, Official documents, Sources of light, Fire, Leadership items, Objects representing the highest authority in a field
- Placement:
- West zone (Aquarius direction — the Sun's own box zone, Box 12)
The Sun as sign lord of Leo (Box 6's cusp) places its objects in the West zone — the zone of the box the Sun actually occupies in RS's chart (Box 12, Aquarius = West). The key Sun object for RS is the Sage Patanjali statue: Sun = highest healing authority; Rahu co-owns Aquarius; Ketu's serpent form is represented in Patanjali's half-serpent body. Together, this statue embodies the complete Sun symbolism in RS's horoscope.
Box 6 Occupants
Box 8: Mysterious Pain & Accident Protection
In RS's horoscope, Box 8 has Scorpio/Vrischik on its cusp, which maps to the SW and S7 zones. The sign lord of Scorpio is Mars (Mangal). No planet occupies Box 8. The SW zone is traditionally associated with heaviness, storage, and concealed matters — making it the natural home for Box 8's themes of hidden pain and transformation. Vastu Guruji RS emphasises that the SW zone must be kept organised and weighted to function correctly as a Box 8 activator.
Box 8 Cusp Signs — Placing Activities in Correct Zones
Sc Cusp i — Scorpio/Vrischik (SW, S7) — Organised Storage & Concealed Space
- Zone:
- SW and S7 (Scorpio direction)
- Primary Activity:
- Keep storage racks organised and well-maintained in SW and S7
- Secondary Activity:
- Create a curtained or covered store room in SW/S7 (via 180° Saturn hit — see below)
- Effect:
- Scorpio governs depth, concealment, transformation, and the hidden aspects of existence. An organised, properly covered SW zone activates Box 8's protective energy. Disorder in the SW zone is a primary Vastu contributor to unexplained health issues — organising it is the first and most important step.
Box 8 Sign Lords — Objects of Mars
Ma Sign Lord i — Mars/Mangal — Weapons, Tools & Maintenance Objects
- Planet:
- Mars (Ma) — sign lord of Scorpio (Box 8 cusp sign)
- Sign.Box:
- Aries (Ar) · Box 1 (Mars's actual position in RS's chart)
- Core Objects:
- Weapons, Tools, Sewing machines, Leather tools for shoes, Cutting/maintenance instruments, Active workstation equipment
- Placement:
- East and E6 zones (Aries direction — Mars's own box zone, Box 1)
Mars as sign lord of Scorpio (Box 8) places its objects in the East zone — the zone of Box 1 (Aries), where Mars actually sits in RS's chart. This is the same East zone that activates Box 1 — demonstrating how a single set of correctly placed Mars objects simultaneously activates both Box 1 (vision and self-empowerment) and Box 8 (mysterious pain relief and accident protection).
Box 8 Occupants
Box 12: Addictions, Expenses & Foreign Travel Safety
In RS's horoscope, Box 12 has Aquarius/Kumbh on its cusp, which maps to the West zone (W6). The sign lord of Aquarius is Saturn (Shani) (and Rahu co-rules Aquarius in some systems). Box 12 has two occupants — the Sun (Surya) and Mercury (Budh) — making this a richly layered box with multiple remedy objects. Properly activating Box 12 manages hospital expenses, neutralises addictive patterns, and ensures that foreign travel is safe and protected.
Box 12 Cusp Signs — Placing Activities in Correct Zones
Aq Cusp i — Aquarius/Kumbh (West, W6) — Daily Activity Management Zone
- Zone:
- West (W6) — Aquarius direction
- Activity to Place:
- Create a place to manage and streamline daily activities → West (W6)
- Effect:
- Aquarius governs systematic, community-minded organisation of everyday flow. By creating a structured daily activity management space in the West zone — a home office, a planner station, or a daily routine area — you activate Box 12's energy toward constructive discipline rather than dissipation through addiction or wasteful expense.
The West zone in RS's home is the primary Box 12 activation zone. Having a clean, well-organised daily activity management area here channels Aquarius's systematic energy into productive daily discipline — naturally reducing the disorder and distraction that feed addictive tendencies and uncontrolled expenses.
Box 12 Sign Lords — Objects of Saturn
Sa Sign Lord i — Saturn/Shani — Old Coins & Big Brass Pot (same as Box 11)
- Planet:
- Saturn (Sa) — sign lord of Aquarius (Box 12 cusp sign) and Capricorn (Box 11)
- Placement Zone:
- NW (Taurus/Venus zone — Saturn's own position zone in RS's chart)
Saturn is the sign lord of both Box 11 (Capricorn) and Box 12 (Aquarius) in RS's horoscope. Its remedy objects — old pure coins (Venus 30° hit) and a big brass pot (Jupiter 150° hit) — therefore serve both boxes simultaneously. Placing these objects in NW activates a powerful dual health-box circuit through a single set of Saturn-specific remedy items.
Box 12 Occupants — Sun & Mercury
Su Occupant i — Sun/Surya — Sage Patanjali Statue
- Planet:
- Sun (Su) — occupant of Box 12
- Sign.Box:
- Aquarius (Aq) · Box 12
- Core Objects:
- Authority symbols, Healing figures, Light sources, Official documents, Sacred statues of supreme teachers
- Placement:
- West zone (Aquarius direction — Box 12's own zone)
The Sun occupies Box 12 in RS's chart. As a Box 12 occupant, its primary object — the Sage Patanjali statue — must be placed in the West zone (Box 12's Aquarius/West zone). This is also where the Sun's objects go as sign lord of Box 6 (Leo). The statue already placed in the West zone therefore simultaneously activates Box 6 (sign lord), Box 8 (Mars hit support), Box 12 (occupant), and Box 1 (Mars hit support) — a single statue carrying the health activation charge of four boxes.
Me Occupant ii — Mercury/Budh — Golden ShrimadbhagwadGita
- Planet:
- Mercury (Me) — occupant of Box 12
- Sign.Box:
- Pisces (Pi) · Box 12 (Mercury in Pisces, placed in Box 12 in RS's chart)
- Core Objects:
- Books, Stationery, Travel bags, Dual objects, Green items, Communication materials, Sacred texts related to knowledge and travel
- Placement:
- West zone (Box 12 zone — Mercury's own occupant zone)
RS's Delhi Home — Complete Floor Plan Placements
Below is the complete verified placement map for RS's Delhi home covering all five health assignments (7.1–7.5). Every placement is derived systematically from the four enabling rules applied to RS's personal birth chart. The efficiency of the system becomes clear here: a small number of well-chosen objects activates all five health boxes simultaneously.
Note on RS's Floor Plan: The extended portion of the building has been treated using a specific Vastu technique for irregular plots. The main body of the building has been gridded independently to find the center — all zone calculations use this grid center as the reference point.
Mercury's excelling 120° hit on Box 5's Cancer cusp. Two green (Me = green) dual suitcases placed in NNE activate healing, solution-finding, happiness, and creative exploration through Mercury's foreign travel energy.
NE zone serves a dual purpose: the Box 11 friendship gathering area (via 4° Capricorn orb to Sagittarius) AND the placement zone for the golden silver dolphin (Moon's Jupiter-assisted remedy for Box 5).
The ENE zone is set up as the primary space for serving and engaging prominent, authoritative people. Creating this purposeful space directly activates Box 6's disease resistance and opposition-overcoming energy.
Mars's full set of objects in East: red pen (Me hit), maintenance tools and weapons (Mars core objects), and the golden ShrimadbhagwadGita (Ju hit). All activate Box 8's mysterious pain protection alongside Box 1 vision.
The single most multi-functional object in RS's health activation system. One Patanjali statue placed in the West zone simultaneously activates Box 6 (Sun as Leo sign lord), Box 8 (Sun's 60° support of Mars), and Box 12 (Sun as occupant).
The golden Gita placed in the West zone anchors Mercury's Box 12 energy. Jupiter's 90° holding hit through the Gita stabilises Mercury's tendency toward distraction — managing expenses, protecting travel, and transforming Box 12's loss energy into purposeful knowledge.
Two Saturn remedy objects placed together in NW simultaneously activate Box 11 (Capricorn sign lord) and Box 12 (Aquarius sign lord). Old coins (Venus 30° hit) and a big brass pot (Jupiter 150° hit) create a powerful dual health-box activation from one zone.
SW storage area kept meticulously organised. Saturn's 180° opposing hit prescribes a curtained or enclosed storeroom in SW/S7 — heavy, covered, and orderly. This activates Box 8's protective energy against mysterious pain and accidents.
A structured daily activity management space in the West zone — planner station, home office, or routine management area. Aquarius's systematic community energy channelled into productive daily discipline, reducing Box 12's tendency toward dissipation.
Understanding the Astro-Vastu Health Box System
One of the most revealing aspects of the Astro-Vastu system is how it understands health not as a single domain but as a spectrum of five interrelated but distinct energetic functions. Vastu Guruji RS explains that conventional Vastu approaches treat the home as a generic energy field — but the Astro-Vastu system treats it as a personalised energetic extension of your birth chart. Every health issue has a specific astrological signature, and that signature points to a specific box, zone, and set of remedy objects.
One Remedy Set Answers All Questions
Once you correctly enable a health box using all four rules, the same placement set answers every health question governed by that box. You do not need separate remedies for each symptom. Box 8 remedies address mysterious pain, accident protection, and hidden health issues all at once — through a single coherent set of zone placements.
Cross-Box Efficiency Is Built In
As RS's Delhi home demonstrates, several key objects serve multiple health boxes simultaneously. The Sage Patanjali statue (West zone) activates Box 6, Box 8, and Box 12. Saturn's old coins (NW zone) activate Box 11 and Box 12. This cross-box efficiency is not accidental — it emerges naturally when the system is applied correctly to a single birth chart.
Environment Is the Medicine
In the Astro-Vastu framework, your correctly arranged home environment is a living prescription. The remedy objects placed in their correct zones create a constant, 24-hour energetic field that supports the body's health — without requiring daily conscious effort. Once placed correctly, the environment does the work continuously.
Disorder Undoes the Remedy
A disorganised SW zone (Box 8) is one of the most common Vastu contributors to unexplained health issues. A cluttered West zone (Box 12) increases financial dissipation. Activation is not just about placing objects — it is equally about maintaining the zone's order. Clean, organised zones are the foundation upon which all remedy placements rest.
