What You'll Learn
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Identify an object with mixed traits of the hitting and hit planets — the right object to select as an Astro-Vastu Remedy.
- Recognise the placement direction of such objects — specifically the Vastu zone that corresponds to the cusp sign of the box being hit.
- Use this knowledge to select and position effective, personalised Astro-Vastu Remedies in your home or workplace.
The Fundamental Rule
Think of it as planetary DNA mixing. Each planet has a fixed signature in your personal horoscope based on the Sign and Box it occupies. When a second planet sends a hit to the first, it donates its own colour, shape, and material to the first planet's objects. The remedy you place in your home must honour both signatures simultaneously.
- When a planet hits Rahu/Ketu: Traits of Rahu/Ketu also get added to the objects related to the hitting planet.
- Traits of the hitting planet get added to Rahu/Ketu objects AND to objects of other planets that are also hitting Rahu/Ketu.
- Practise recognising these cross-contaminated traits minutely — they are subtle but crucial for accurate remedy selection.
Important Points to Remember
Rahu Gives Vividness
Ra always adds brightness, vividness, and eye-catching quality to whatever object it influences. Any object that seems unusually striking in a space carries Rahu energy.
Rahu Objects Grab Attention
The most prominent, attention-dominating object in any room or zone represents Rahu. When selecting a Rahu remedy, it must be something that naturally draws the eye.
Ketu Objects Stay Hidden
Ketu objects are always hidden, covered, underground, or placed away from direct attention. Ketu remedies work best when tucked quietly out of sight — under a floor, behind a wall, or in a concealed spot.
Unique Planet Properties
Each planet has fixed yet unique properties based on its Sign and Box in your individual horoscope. These personal properties determine which specific object becomes your remedy.
Hit Adds Uniqueness
A hit from another planet adds traits based on that hitting planet's unique properties for the individual. Generic planet traits are a starting point — the personal horoscope makes them precise.

6-Step Process to Select Your Mixed-Trait Remedy
Know Your 9 Planet Positions
For your birth chart, identify all 9 planets with their Sign and Box. This gives each planet its unique property set (Reference Sheet 4.1 pattern applied to your chart).
List All Planetary Hits (from Assignment 3)
Use your hit calculations (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 120°, 135°, 150°, 180°) to identify which planets are hitting which. Note the hit type quality for each.
Identify the Base Planet's Objects (Column A)
Start with the planet being hit. List its core objects using Reference Sheet 4.2 — these are the foundational objects for the remedy selection.
Add the Hitting Planet's Traits (Column B)
Layer the hitting planet's colour, shape, material, and object characteristics onto the base planet's objects. The overlap point — an object that carries traits of both — is your remedy object candidate.
Apply Rahu-Ketu Rules if Applicable
If Rahu or Ketu is involved (either as hit or hitting planet), apply the two special Ra/Ke mixed-trait rules. Ra adds vividness; Ke makes the object hidden. Adjust accordingly.
Place in the Correct Zone (Column C)
Place the remedy in the Vastu zone corresponding to the cusp sign of the hit planet's box. Verify: Ra objects prominent and visible; Ke objects hidden or covered; all others in their sign-direction zone.
