You have walked through your home a thousand times. You have moved past the television, stepped around the water tank, glanced at the wall clock, and placed your shoes near the door. You thought you were simply living in a space. But according to the Astro-Vastu system taught by Vastu Guruji Rana Sikander (RS), you have been moving through a living planetary diagram — one that was drawn by the positions of 9 planets in your birth chart.

Assignment 1 taught you how the 12 houses of your birth chart map to 16 directional zones in your building. Assignment 2 goes deeper. It teaches you that every significant object in your home carries the energy of one of the 9 Vedic planets — and that object's location in your building is not random. It is determined by where its corresponding planet sits in your chart, subject to the Rahu-Ketu displacement rules.

Once you learn this, walking through your home becomes a profound diagnostic exercise. You stop seeing "a TV" — you start seeing "Rahu's indicator sign." You stop seeing "a stove" — you start seeing "Mars in action." The home becomes readable. And what can be read can be corrected.

The Core Premise of Assignment 2: The function, quality, colour, shape, and emotional nature of every object in your home matches the traits of one of the 9 planets. That planet's position in your birth chart determines where the object naturally appears in your home — across the 16 Vastu directional zones. When the object is in the wrong zone, it creates friction. When it is in the right zone, it amplifies the planet's positive qualities in your life.
1
The Two Foundational Rules

Before working with any object, you must understand the two rules that govern all Astro-Vastu object analysis. These rules apply to all 9 planets and every object in the home.

Rule 1 — Planet Traits Determine Object Identity

To designate an object as belonging to a specific planet, match the functioning of the object in the home with the traits of that planet. These traits include:

  • Quality — heavy, light, delicate, sharp, soft
  • Colour — orange (Sun), white (Moon), red (Mars), green (Mercury)
  • Shape — round (Moon), angular (Saturn), long (Mars)
  • Emotion — comfort (Venus), authority (Sun), fear (Rahu)
  • Function — what the object does in daily life

Rule 2 — Planet Position Determines Object Location

Once you have identified which planet an object belongs to, its location in the home's Vastu zones is determined by:

  • Which box (house) the planet occupies in the birth chart
  • The cusp sign of that box (which gives the directional zone)
  • The broader context of that box's life themes
  • Whether Rahu or Ketu modifies the planet's zone (always check this first)
2
The Rahu-Ketu Object Rules — Always Check First

Rahu and Ketu are the most complex planets in the Astro-Vastu object system. Their rules operate in two layers — first for objects that belong directly to Rahu or Ketu, and second for objects belonging to other planets whose signs or boxes are co-owned or influenced by Rahu/Ketu.

Rahu-Ketu Rule Set 1 — For Objects Directly Related to Ra/Ke

Objects that carry Rahu or Ketu traits (Ketu = toilet, sewage, underground; Rahu = TV, clocks, screens, indicators) are located in the following zones — check in this order:

  1. The sign occupied by Rahu or Ketu → that sign's directional zone
  2. The cusp sign of the box occupied by Rahu or Ketu → that cusp sign's zone
  3. The cusp sign of the box occupied by the original sign owner of the sign owned by Ra/Ke → that cusp sign's zone

Example from Vastu Guruji RS's chart: Ketu is in Cancer (NNE). Its associated objects — toilet seat, sewage — appear in the following zones: (i) Toilet seat is in NNE because Ketu is in Cancer/NNE. (ii) Toilet is in NNW because Ketu's box cusp is Gemini/NNW. (iii) Sewage tank is in NE because the original Cancer sign owner (Moon) sits in Box 10 whose cusp is Sagittarius/NE.

Rahu-Ketu Rule Set 2 — For Other Planets in Ra/Ke Influenced Signs or Boxes

When any other planet (Sun, Moon, Mars, etc.) is in a box whose cusp sign is owned by Ra/Ke, or is itself in a sign owned by Ra/Ke, the objects related to that planet will appear in the following zones:

  1. The sign occupied by Ra/Ke
  2. The sign/s owned by Ra/Ke
  3. The sign on the cusp of the box occupied by Ra/Ke
  4. The cusp sign of the box occupied by the original sign owner of Ra/Ke-owned signs

Example: Sun is in Box 12 (Aquarius cusp/West zone). Aquarius is co-owned by Rahu in some formulations. So Sun's objects (Power Supply MCB, Generator, Authority Documents) appear in NW (Ra-Ke Rule 2.iv). The MCB is also found under the staircase in the West zone (Box 10 cusp/Aquarius) per Ra-Ke Rule 2.ii.

Two Critical Points to Always Remember

  • Always check Ra/Ke first — before locating any object, confirm whether it is Rahu or Ketu related. This is Step 1, always.
  • Check for Ra/Ke co-ownership — when locating any planet's object, verify whether its box cusp sign, owned sign, or occupied sign is co-owned by Ra/Ke. If yes, the Ra/Ke Rule Set 2 applies.
3
The Planet Sequence: KeShuR ChMaRa GuShBu

Vastu Guruji RS teaches a specific mnemonic for the order in which planets are analysed during an Astro-Vastu object reading. This sequence ensures Rahu and Ketu are always handled first, and all 9 planets are covered systematically.

Ke — Ketu
Shu — Venus (Shukra)
R — Sun (Ravi)
Ch — Moon (Chandra)
Ma — Mars (Mangal)
Ra — Rahu
Gu — Jupiter (Guru)
Sh — Saturn (Shani)
Bu — Mercury (Budh)

Notice that Ketu comes first (because Ra/Ke displacement rules must be checked before any other planet) and Rahu appears in the middle after Moon and Mars (because by then you have established the Moon and Mars zones and can cross-check how Rahu displaces them). This is not arbitrary — it is a carefully calibrated analytical sequence that prevents errors.

Ke
Ketu — Toilet, Sewage, Underground Services, Drainage Shadow planet · Detachment · Dissolution · Below-ground flow
Check Ra/Ke Rule 1

Ketu represents dissolution, endings, spirituality, and what flows away or below. In the physical home, this translates to everything connected with waste removal, underground channels, drainage, and sewage. The toilet is the most direct Ketu object in any building — it is the point where material matter leaves the home through a downward, underground path.

Core Objects
Toilet seat, sewage tank, sewage pipe lines, drainage, underground water lines
Planet Traits
Detachment, dissolution, hidden, below-ground, spiritual, smoke-coloured
Rule Applied
Ra/Ke Rule Set 1 — always first
Example Sign
Cancer (NNE) in RS's chart

How Location is Determined (RS's Chart Example)

Present Home

Toilet seat is in NNE — Ketu is in Cancer/NNE (Ra-Ke Rule 1.i). Toilet is also in NNW — Ketu's box cusp is Gemini/NNW (Ra-Ke Rule 1.ii). Sewage tank is in NE — original Cancer sign owner Moon sits in Box 10 with Sagittarius cusp/NE (Ra-Ke Rule 1.iii).

Birth Home

Toilet was in NNE (First Floor). Toilet also in NNW (outside). Sewage pipe line in NNE (on the chabutra/veranda). Pattern matches — consistent with Ketu's Cancer sign placement across both homes.

Vastu Guruji RS Insight

Ketu is the planet most critical to check first in any home because its objects (toilets, drains) are fixed structures that cannot easily be relocated. If your toilet falls in a zone that clashes with an important planetary placement — say, in your Box 1 (East/self zone) — it will consistently undermine personal vitality and confidence. Identifying this is the first step toward remediation.

Ve
Venus (Shukra) — Comfort, Designer & Beauty Objects, Fashion, Luxury Planet of beauty · Comfort · Elegance · Pleasure · Fine arts
East (E6) + SE (E7, S2)

Venus governs everything beautiful, comfortable, and pleasing to the senses. In the home, Venus objects are those chosen for their aesthetics, softness, or luxury quality — not just function. Designer clothes, customised shoes, watches, soft furnishings, decorative items, and anything that evokes comfort or beauty belongs to Venus.

Core Objects
Designer clothes, accessories, shoes, watches, jewellery, soft furnishings, decorative items, luxury goods, comforting objects
Planet Traits
Beautiful, soft, comfortable, pleasurable, white/pink, round, fragrant
In RS's Chart
Venus in Box 1 (Aries cusp/East E6); also +4° orb rule activates Pisces/SE (E7, S2)
Zones
East (E6) primary; SE (E7, S2) via 4° orb rule

The 4° Orb Rule in Action

In RS's example chart, Venus is in Box 1 (Aries cusp, East/E6). However, because the cusp degree falls within 4° of the Pisces-Aries boundary, the adjacent Pisces sign's zone — South-East (SE, E7, S2) — is also activated. This is why designer shoes are found in SE, E7, and S2, while designer clothes and watches are in East/E6. Both zones are valid; both are expressions of Venus.

Present Home

Designer and customised shoes in SE, E7, S2 (Pisces/+4° orb). Designer clothes and watches in East and E6 (Aries/Venus direct).

Birth Home

Comforting and special clothes kept in SE, E7, S2. Also in East and E6. Pattern is identical — Venus is consistent across both homes.

Su
Sun (Ravi) — Power Supply, Authority Documents, Generator, MCB Planet of authority · Energy source · Government · Leadership
West (W6) / NW via Ra-Ke

The Sun is the source of all energy — light, heat, power, authority. In the home, Sun objects are those that control or distribute energy, or that represent authority and official status. The main electrical panel (MCB), generator, official documents, authority certificates, and anything orange-coloured or power-giving belongs to the Sun.

Core Objects
MCB (main circuit breaker), generator, power supply units, authority documents, identity certificates, orange-coloured items
Planet Traits
Authority, power, orange/gold colour, circular, bright, commanding, government-related
In RS's Chart
Sun in Box 12 (Aquarius/West W6); Ra-Ke rules displace to NW and West
Zones
West (W6) base; NW via Ra-Ke Rule 2.iv; West under stairs via Ra-Ke Rule 2.ii

Ra-Ke Displacement of Sun Objects

In RS's chart, the Sun sits in Box 12 (Aquarius cusp, West/W6). Aquarius is co-influenced by Rahu in the Ra-Ke sign ownership framework. This triggers Ra-Ke Rule Set 2. Result: the Power Supply (MCB) and the orange-coloured generator appear in NW (Ra-Ke Rule 2.iv). The MCB also appears under the staircase in the West direction (Box 10 cusp = Aquarius = West, Ra-Ke Rule 2.ii).

Present Home

MCB and orange generator in NW. MCB also under stairs in West (Aquarius zone). Authority Documents in West zone.

Birth Home

Main power supply in NW. Consistent with Sun's Ra-Ke displaced zone across both homes.

Mo
Moon (Chandra) — Water, Home Linens, Daily Care Objects, Nurturing Items Planet of emotion · Nurture · Daily routine · Water · Home comfort
NE + NNE via Ra-Ke

The Moon governs water, nurturing, daily routines, home comfort, and emotional life. Moon objects in the home are those connected with water storage and supply, bed linens and soft home textiles, daily care items (personal hygiene products, skincare), and anything that creates a sense of home comfort and safety.

Core Objects
Water storage tank, water boring/resource, home linens (bedsheets, towels), daily care products, kitchen staples, nurturing items
Planet Traits
White/silver, round, fluid, soft, nurturing, fluctuating, emotional, domestic
In RS's Chart
Moon in Box 10 (Capricorn/South S6); Ra-Ke rules heavily modify all Moon object zones
Zones
NE (water boring), West/height (water tank via Ra-Ke), NE and NNE (linens)

Complex Moon Displacement — A Masterclass in Ra-Ke Rules

In RS's chart, Moon in Box 10 (Capricorn/South) interacts with Rahu and Ketu in multiple ways, producing a fascinating split of Moon objects across three zones:

  • Water Boring (underground water source) — in NE. Ketu is in Moon's sign (Cancer), so Ra-Ke Rule 1.ii applies — Ketu's box cusp determines zone.
  • Water Storage Tank — in West on height. Moon (Ch) is mixed at 0° with Ra (Sa). Moon's storage tank object (Saturn governs storage) lands in West/height (Box 10) via Ra-Ke Rule 1.i.
  • Home linens and daily care items — in NE and NNE. Ketu is in Moon's sign (Cancer), so Ra-Ke Rules 1.i and 1.ii both apply, directing these objects to NNE (Ketu's sign) and NE (Ketu's box cusp sign Sagittarius).
Present Home

Water boring in NE. Water tank in West (overhead, Box 10 height). Linens in NE and NNE.

Birth Home

Water tank in NNE and NE. Pattern confirms Moon's Ra-Ke displaced zones.

Ma
Mars (Mangal) — Fire, Weapons, Heating, Maintenance Tools, Research Planet of energy · Action · Fire · Courage · Cutting tools
East (E6)

Mars is the planet of fire, energy, action, and cutting. Its objects in the home include anything associated with heat (stove, heater, hot water geyser), cutting or weaponry (knives, scissors, martial arts items), maintenance and repair (tool kits, sewing kits, shoe care kits, gadget repair kits), and research or investigation. Red objects also carry Mars energy.

Core Objects
Kitchen stove, heater, geyser, weapons and blades, maintenance tool kits, sewing kits, shoe care tools, research instruments, red items
Planet Traits
Red/fiery, sharp, angular, energetic, action-oriented, aggressive, cutting
In RS's Chart
Mars in Box 1 (Aries cusp/East E6)
Zone
East (E6) — direct, no Ra-Ke displacement

Real Examples from RS's Home

In RS's present home, Mars (in Box 1, Aries/East) places all its objects in the East zone and E6:

  • Samurai sword, Nepali Khukhari, and Kirpan (received as gifts) — stored in the East almirah (cupboard)
  • Sewing kits (cloth care), leather tools (shoe care), Swiss kits (gadget maintenance) — kept in East and E6
  • Research-related tools — also in East

In the birth home, the kitchen stove (Mars = fire) was in East. The gift Kirpan was in East almirah. Maintenance kits were in E6. The pattern is identical — Mars consistently pulls its objects to the East in both homes, confirming the reliability of this system.

Present Home

Weapons (gifted) in East almirah. All maintenance kits in East and E6. Research tools in East.

Birth Home

Kitchen stove in East. Gifted Kirpan in East almirah. Maintenance kits in E6.

Ra
Rahu — TV, Wall Clock, Compass, Name Plate, CCTV, Indicator Signs Shadow planet · Illusion · Screens · Time indicators · Foreign connection
NW via Ra-Ke Rule 1.iii

Rahu governs illusion, foreign influence, screens, and indicators — anything that shows or signals rather than acts directly. In the home, Rahu objects include television sets (screen/illusion), wall clocks (time indicator), compass (direction indicator), name plates (identity indicator), CCTV cameras (surveillance screen), and anything related to foreign countries or unconventional items.

Core Objects
Television, wall clock, compass, name plate, CCTV, indicator boards, foreign items, nazar battu (evil eye protection)
Planet Traits
Screen-like, dark/smoky, indicating, foreign, unconventional, illusion-creating, overhead
In RS's Chart
Rahu in Box 10 (Capricorn/South S6); Ra-Ke Rule 1.iii displaces objects to NW
Zone
NW — via Ra-Ke Rule 1.iii (original Capricorn sign owner Saturn in Box 2/Taurus/NW)

Rahu's Displacement to NW — Explained

Rahu sits in Box 10 (Capricorn/South). Ra-Ke Rule 1.iii says: look at the original sign owner of the sign Rahu occupies (Capricorn). That owner is Saturn. Where is Saturn? In Box 2, with Taurus cusp — which points to NW (W7). Therefore, Rahu's objects (TV, CCTV, name plate) all end up in NW — not in South where Rahu sits.

This is a perfect illustration of why Ra-Ke rules must always be applied: without them, you would look for the TV in South, but it is actually in NW.

Present Home

TV, CCTV, and Name Plate are all in NW. Confirmed via Ra-Ke Rule 1.iii.

Birth Home

Nazar Battu (Rahu protective item) was in NW. Same zone — confirms the pattern.

Ju
Jupiter (Guru) — Heavy Objects, Knowledge Items, Large Tech Gadgets Planet of wisdom · Expansion · Knowledge · Heavy/large · Abundance
NE + SW (S7) via 4° Orb

Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system — and it shows. Jupiter objects in the home are physically heavy, large, or intellectually weighty. This includes heavy furniture and large storage racks, encyclopaedias and reference books, large brass or copper vessels, big organisers, and sophisticated technology gadgets that carry knowledge (computers, advanced instruments).

Core Objects
Heavy furniture, large storage items, knowledge books, encyclopaedias, tech gadgets, large brass/copper vessels, big organisers and racks
Planet Traits
Yellow/gold, large, heavy, wise, abundant, expansive, philosophical, generous
In RS's Chart
Jupiter in Box 9 (Sagittarius/NE); +4° orb activates Scorpio cusp Box 8 (SW/S7)
Zones
NE (knowledge gadgets), SW/S7 (heavy objects via 4° orb)

Jupiter's Dual Zone — 4° Orb Rule

Jupiter sits in Box 9 (Sagittarius/NE). Because the cusp is within 4° of the Scorpio-Sagittarius boundary, Box 8's cusp (Scorpio/SW-S7) also becomes active. This creates a fascinating split:

  • Heavy, large physical objects (big storage boxes, large brass vessels, racks, organisers) — go to SW and S7
  • Knowledge books and tech gadgets (the intellectual/wisdom dimension of Jupiter) — go to NE

The physical heaviness of objects goes to the SW (grounding zone), while the mental weight of knowledge goes to the NE (wisdom zone). This is one of the most elegant examples of the Orb Rule in action.

Present Home

Heavy objects on racks and organisers in SW and S7. Knowledge books and tech gadgets in NE.

Birth Home

Big storage boxes in SW and S7. Big brass vessels and party utensils also in SW and S7.

Sa
Saturn (Shani) — Storage, Old Items, Antique Objects, Inherited Possessions Planet of time · Age · Preservation · Discipline · Ancestral objects
NW (W7)

Saturn is the planet of time, age, endurance, and discipline. Saturn objects in the home are those that have stood the test of time — old items, antiques, heirlooms, inherited objects, and anything stored away for long periods. Saturn also governs overhead storage (because Saturn rules the highest, most distant planetary level) and large amounts of stored material.

Core Objects
Old and antique items, heirlooms, inherited objects, overhead storage, long-stored items, dark-coloured old furniture, ancestral possessions
Planet Traits
Old, dark blue/black, heavy, slow, disciplined, accumulated over time, preserved, inherited
In RS's Chart
Saturn in Box 2 (Taurus cusp/NW W7)
Zone
NW (W7) — direct, no Ra-Ke displacement needed

Saturn's Straightforward Zone

Saturn in Box 2 (Taurus/NW) is one of the cleaner placements in RS's chart — no Ra-Ke complications. All Saturn objects go directly to NW (W7). The NW zone is therefore the natural home for: antique water vessels from the ancestral home, old family heirlooms, big overhead storage of accumulated items, and anything preserved from the past.

Vastu Guruji RS notes that the NW zone in a home naturally accumulates Saturn energy over time — which is why the NW traditionally holds storage. This system explains WHY, not just what.

Present Home

Old Antique Water Vessel (from old family home) is in NW. Heavy storage items in NW overhead.

Birth Home

Big overhead storage of old things in NW. Consistent Saturn placement.

Me
Mercury (Budh) — Books, Music Systems, Instruments, Communication Devices Planet of intellect · Communication · Learning · Music · Information
SE (E7, S2) / NE via Ra-Ke

Mercury governs intellect, communication, learning, and fine motor skills. Mercury objects in the home are those associated with intellectual activity — books, notebooks, study materials — as well as music and fine arts instruments, communication tools (telephone, writing desk), and anything requiring precision or dexterity.

Core Objects
Books (especially research and study books), music systems, musical instruments, communication devices, stationery, study materials, green items
Planet Traits
Green, dual (books + music), communicative, analytical, fine, precise, youthful, adaptable
In RS's Chart
Mercury in Box 12 (Pisces cusp/SE E7, S2); Ra-Ke Rule 2.iii displaces research books to NE
Zones
SE (E7, S2) base; NE for research books via Ra-Ke Rule 2.iii

Mercury's Ra-Ke Displacement for Research Books

Mercury is in Box 12 (Pisces/SE, E7, S2). However, research-related books — a specific sub-category of Mercury objects — appear in NE rather than SE. Why? Ra-Ke Rule 2.iii: when a planet is in a sign owned by Ra/Ke (Pisces is co-associated with Ketu/Jupiter axis), specific objects may be redirected to the zone of Ketu's box cusp sign — which is Sagittarius/NE.

The music system follows the same Ra-Ke displacement — it is in NE alongside the research books. This shows how Ra-Ke rules can split a planet's objects between two zones depending on their sub-type.

Present Home

Research-related books and music system in NE (Ra-Ke Rule 2.iii). Other Mercury items in SE zone.

Birth Home

Grandfather's books kept in NE. Consistent Mercury displacement to NE across generations.

How to Do Your Own Assignment 2 — Step by Step

Follow this sequence for reading your own home as a planetary object map. Use the KeShuR ChMaRa GuShBu order and keep the Ra-Ke rules at the front of your mind at every step.

1
Get your KP Astro-Patri (birth chart with cusp degrees)

You need the house cusp degrees — specifically which rashi sits on the cusp of each of the 12 boxes. This is your directional foundation from Assignment 1.

2
Follow the KeShuR ChMaRa GuShBu sequence

Start with Ketu. Write down which box Ketu occupies and what that box's cusp sign is. Note the direction. Then move to Venus (Shukra), then Sun (Ravi), and so on through all 9 planets.

3
For each planet, check: is Rahu or Ketu involved?

Before finalising any planet's zone, ask: does Rahu or Ketu occupy this planet's box? Does Rahu or Ketu own this planet's sign? Is the box cusp co-owned by Ra/Ke? If yes to any, apply the relevant Ra/Ke Rule Set 2 sub-rule.

4
Write the Vastu zone for each planet

In your Assignment Table 2 (Column B = planet's sign/zone, Column C = planet's box and cusp), fill in the directional zone for each of the 9 planets. This becomes your personal Astro-Vastu planet-zone map.

5
Walk through your Present Home

Now physically walk through your home with your planet-zone map. Find where each category of objects actually sits. Write it in Column D1. Does your TV sit in Rahu's zone? Is your water tank in Moon's zone? Are your maintenance tools in Mars's zone?

6
Repeat for Birth Home (Column D2)

Now recall or visit your birth home (where your mother lived during pregnancy) and repeat the exercise. Where were the same categories of objects kept? Write in Column D2. Compare D1 and D2 — do the zones match? Consistency across both homes confirms the system's accuracy for your chart.

7
Identify misplacements and make corrections

Where objects are in the wrong zone — a planet's objects in a zone that doesn't match that planet's chart position — that is a misalignment. Vastu Guruji RS teaches that even small corrections (moving your TV from East to NW, shifting your book collection from West to NE) produce measurable life improvements within months.

7
Why Object Placement Matters — The Real-World Impact

You might wonder: does it really matter where the TV sits, or where the water tank is located? The answer, according to Vastu Guruji RS's teaching and decades of applied Astro-Vastu consultations, is yes — emphatically and consistently.

Objects emit the energy of their planet. A television set is not just a screen — it is a Rahu object, continuously emitting Rahu energy (illusion, foreign connection, amplification, restlessness) into the zone where it sits. If that zone corresponds to Box 1 in your chart (the self/health zone), the TV in that spot will continuously agitate the energy of your personal identity and health.

Conversely, when objects sit in their correct zone — in the zone that matches their planet's chart position — they amplify that planet's positive contribution to your life. A water tank in Moon's correct zone doesn't just store water; it nourishes the emotional and domestic life qualities of that zone. Books in Mercury's correct zone don't just hold information; they activate Mercury's intelligence and communication gifts in that part of the home.

The Key Insight from Vastu Guruji RS: The birth home analysis is your proof. Across thousands of consultations, RS has observed that the objects in a person's birth home — placed there with no knowledge of Vastu, purely by instinct and circumstance — almost always fall precisely in the zones predicted by the person's birth chart. The system did not place those objects consciously. The planetary energy did. This is the validation that the Astro-Vastu object system is not theoretical — it is observable, repeatable, and applicable.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you know which planet an object in your home belongs to?
Every object has a function, quality, colour, shape, and emotional association. In the Astro-Vastu system taught by Vastu Guruji Rana Sikander, these qualities are matched to the traits of the 9 Vedic planets. For example, fire-related objects (stove, heater, weapons) match Mars; comfort and beauty objects (designer clothes, décor, soft furnishings) match Venus; heavy, old, stored items match Saturn. Once you identify the planet, the object's Vastu zone follows from where that planet sits in your birth chart.
What is the KeShuR ChMaRa GuShBu sequence?
KeShuR ChMaRa GuShBu is the planet analysis sequence taught by Vastu Guruji RS for Assignment 2. It stands for: Ke (Ketu), Shu (Shukra/Venus), R (Ravi/Sun), Ch (Chandra/Moon), Ma (Mangal/Mars), Ra (Rahu), Gu (Guru/Jupiter), Sh (Shani/Saturn), Bu (Budh/Mercury). You always analyse objects in this order when doing a home Astro-Vastu reading.
Why are Rahu and Ketu analysed first in Astro-Vastu object placement?
Rahu and Ketu displace and redirect energy — they don't own any rashi but influence the zones of other planets. Because they affect where other planets' objects actually appear in the home, you must always check Rahu and Ketu first. If you locate Venus objects without first checking whether Rahu or Ketu co-owns Venus's sign or box, you will get the wrong location. Vastu Guruji RS makes this the first step in every Astro-Vastu object analysis.
Can the same object belong to more than one planet?
Yes. An object can have qualities of more than one planet, in which case it may appear in multiple zones or in a zone that reflects the combined planetary energy. For example, a brass water vessel combines Moon (water), Saturn (old/antique), and Jupiter (heavy/brass). Its actual location in the home will reflect whichever of these planets is most strongly placed in that person's chart — and the Rahu-Ketu displacement rule may redirect it further.
What is the difference between Present Home and Birth Home in Astro-Vastu object analysis?
In Astro-Vastu, you analyse both the current home (where you live now) and the birth home (where your mother lived during pregnancy). The birth home analysis reveals the original energetic imprint — where objects were naturally drawn when no conscious Vastu knowledge was applied. Comparing the two homes shows which planetary energies are consistent in your life and which have shifted. Vastu Guruji RS teaches that the birth home patterns are often more revealing than the present home.
